Work from home (albeit it may be limited).
Low pay compared to other positions in similar fields. But not only that.
When you sign a contract with IBM, you project your future income based on the working hours per year and the rate. Later, IBM will force you to take lots of furlough days, sometimes one day per week, each week. So you lose your income and cannot enjoy even unpaid vacation.
Eventually, your actual rate will be 20% less for the period of the contract.
IBM implemented this trick years ago. They are literally stealing from you using this trick. You will never be informed about that in the beginning.
This is how they attract a contractor who costs, let's say, $60/hour, but actually, IBM will pay him only $50/hour. It is a mastered scam and unfair competition on the job market.
Stop using furloughs as a remedy for your financial problems.
It looks like a trick, a scam, or the last resort of a dying company.
Make IBM more competitive and aggressive on the market.
I interviewed at IBM. In that interview, they took all my details and my expectations, which were 23-24. They knew this very well. After getting selected, they offered me 16 when I am currently earning 15. I don't know if it was a joke, but it was
It was quite simple and fast. It started with an HR/Recruiter Discussion, followed by a Technical/Functional Discussion around the experience, and then concluded with a Hiring Manager Discussion. The offer letter was also released pretty fast.
The first round is to complete a HackerRank challenge. The second and perhaps third rounds involve interviewing with someone on the team. Some candidates may interview with the hiring manager directly, depending on the team to which you are applying.
