They provide laptops on the first day.
Poor management in GBS.
They provide laptops and ask us to lock them inside the office premises. Then why is a portable device provided?
There was a situation where management told us, "You can be a scientist or an excellent engineer, but here you must do what we ask you to do."
HR and managers are the same person, so it is difficult to reach HR in case of any issues. Lot of politics happen as HRs support only managers. I have seen pure politics, and people literally suffered.
Having a laptop in hand, management expects people to work whenever asked. They expect them to be logged in 24/7.
They used WhatsApp as official chat and impacted the personal lives of so many people.
These are the cons in my experience with IBM.
Look out for employees and value their personal lives. Some standards should be in place.
