IBM's management team is very efficient. However, in my project, when I was working well, one of my team leads told my manager that I was not performing well. Based on that, my manager did not give me an increment, and I was also surprised by what happened. After that, I heard this thing.
I accept that for managers and even for senior managers, it is not possible to check what consultants are doing. However, if possible, the management should take feedback from all the team leads and co-workers, even those with whom the particular person was working. This way, they can get proper feedback based on different opinions rather than a biased one.
Nowadays, it's really difficult to clear technical rounds at IBM. One has to be technically strong and should have a good implementation idea. It's not so easy to get an offer letter.
1. Coding test 2. Small technical discussion 3. HR/Manager discussion 4. Offer letter The offer letter was revised as they offered less than we had discussed during the interview. Also, the date of joining changed accordingly.
The quality of the telephonic interviews is dependent upon the role. If it is done for a project, it would be very strict, or in line with the requirement. If it is a general staff suggestion, it could be anything.
