No loyalty to good employees. I've seen more good people leave who weren't offered what they should have been until after they gave notice in the past 2 years than I have in my previous 20+ years here. The only way to get a raise or band jump is to give notice.
There's no job security. This isn't the company it used to be where once you were in, you made a long-term career in a single place. That's a fairy tale here now.
They value where you live over your skillset. IBM used to be very remote work friendly, and that has changed 180 degrees the past few years as they force you to relocate or lose your job. (Even if you aren't remote but are officed in one location, RTP, and they move your business unit to NY or Austin, you have to move or they consider it a voluntary resignation). Even then, many have been laid off months after relocating.
God help you if you are over 55. You're a dead man walking.
No bonuses for employees, but CEOs and c-level get all the money.
IBM now just wants patents over actually creating good products.
Been there, done that. They don't listen. So why waste time putting it here?
There will be two rounds of face-to-face interviews, mainly focusing on basic technology. The final round will be an HR interview. Generally, HR will always try to negotiate for a lower package.
There is one technical and one PDM (senior manager) round. The senior manager round tries to evaluate you in all possible ways to see if you are fit for IBM or not. The technical interview depends on the level you are applying for. The interview cove
Very unprofessional behavior. I had to wait 5 hours for just one round of interview. After waiting for 5 hours, I got the response that my skillset did not match the requirement; they needed a .NET guy, and I am from an MSBI background.
