IBM pays relatively high salaries, assuming that you manage to get promoted into the higher levels. This may be easy or hard, depending on your management and/or job function.
The benefit package is very good. The physical work environment ranges from private offices with locking doors to cubicles, with the latter becoming more and more common.
Working at home is generally encouraged, if the job function permits it.
If you are in the US, your job is likely headed overseas (without you).
There are two types of employees: "high performers" and everyone else. The high performers (maybe 1%) get pay increases, awards, good assignments, etc. Everyone else gets whatever is left over (if anything).
IBM will continue to decline until management believes that all employees are valuable and aren't just a bunch of parasites waiting for the next layoff.
One round. Two interviewers. 20 minutes of background, then 20 minutes of technical, and finally 20 minutes of behavioral. After that, we discussed the role in more detail. They said they would get back to me.
My interview at IBM was smooth and professional. The panel focused on technical skills, problem-solving, and communication. They were friendly, asked scenario-based questions, and emphasized teamwork and adaptability. Overall, it was good.
There is one technical and one PDM (senior manager) round. The senior manager round tries to evaluate you in all possible ways to see if you are fit for IBM or not. The technical interview depends on the level you are applying for. The interview cove
