No matter who you are and what you aim for in your career, IBM always has the best opportunities for you. I have chosen to start a new career in IT, and IBM training programs have been essential for my learning path.
Although IBM offers flexible working hours, a long working hours culture is still in practice in some areas or projects, which I consider not so suited for a developer position.
A developer spends long hours sitting in front of a computer. Shorter weekly working hours should be more productive and healthier (in terms of employee body posture). They can also be seen as a positive attraction/retention strategy.
I went through a behavioral interview and then a technical interview. The process was challenging, but I believe it was fair. The technical interview covered different areas of the expected knowledge base.
The interview process involved a few steps: * With tech leaders * With a senior engineer and a peer * The final one with the department head The first step was a high-level conversation, followed by the technical ones.
Relatively easy interview. The hardest part was the English test. The process is simple and virtual. There is an interview with the Brazilian team and also with a person from the USA.
