Pros

IBM has great health benefits for the employee and their family. We have been very happy with our insurance.

Flexible Hours - IBM allows employees to set their own hours when it does not affect their work. This can be an advantage when trying to spend time with family or a disadvantage when you have to work around others' flexible schedules.

IBM allows employees in some jobs to work from home. I have worked from home for a few years now and I like that I do not have a commute and that I get to see my family throughout the day during my breaks.

Cons

IBM has an overloaded workforce. As a company, they are downsizing their headcount while still attempting to do the same amount or more. Workers are overworked and put in more hours than should be expected.

My position had limited advancement opportunities. In technical fields, it is hard to move up past a certain point without leaving the technical side and going into management.

Advice to Management
