People are great -- most experienced engineers I've worked with. Their enthusiasm for technology is real.
Pretty chill work environment.
Great place for working parents, offering good work-life balance.
Layoffs happen arbitrarily. Upper middle management gets involved too much, and re-orgs happen to the point where projects get thrashed a lot. There are not many opportunities for career growth, unless you're well connected to top executives or executive-driven projects.
Enable bottoms-up engineering; reduce overhead.
The interview process involved multiple rounds, and was mostly behavioral. You make each round consecutively. The last round was with the hiring manager, who didn't even know what ChatGPT was. I had to break down how it works.
Applied online. Waited a few months to hear anything. The process moved fairly quickly after the initial response. There was a phone screen and then follow-up interviews on site. Overall, a great experience. Would recommend.
The interview lasted for a day. It contained both technical as well as HR rounds. I was selected for the interview after a phone call. The people were friendly; I think they love new ideas.
