Pros

You can work from home a lot of the time and while in different cities. There are lots of training (classes) provided by IBM that you can take. Managers are flexible on you taking time off work to take care of personal errands. After IBM, your resume will have lots of name recognition.

Cons

They have been gradually outsourcing lots of software development work to India and China. It's only a matter of time before they will no longer have software developers here in the US.

PBC ratings are completely unfair. Management basically rates your performance against the entire organization and not individual performance.

Advice to Management

Get rid of or change PBC.
