It has pretty good pay for their college interns. They also allowed me to work from my house three days of the week, saving me on gas and time in traffic. I also determined which hours I worked.
They only cared about results at IBM. I, unfortunately, was working in a research position alone. My teammates were not programmers, and as a programming intern, I was isolated. Not only that, my coworkers were all at least double my age with families, further isolating me. My manager only cared about getting results as soon as possible and rushing the product I was working on. He put increased pressure on me when I was taking my finals, not understanding the fact that I am a student first, employee second.
Get a reality check. Not everything is about results. Treat your employees with respect, not with the fear of outsourcing their job immediately once their job is completed. Show some loyalty to your countrymen.
Online assessment which had two LeetCode easy/medium problems. Then an interview with two engineers that had a mix of behavioral resume questions as well as technical find-the-bug/maybe a whiteboard coding problem.
Two rounds. The first round was a HackerRank OA, and the second round was with a manager who went over your resume, your interests, and why IBM. The second round was a 45-minute interview with no coding.
Took OA: * Two LeetCode mediums; both were about list manipulations. * Video interview with straightforward questions. Know how your experiences connect well and use the STAR format. Make sure you prepare DP and know how to optimize your problems/
