Interesting and challenging work. There are still interesting problems to solve at the company, and given how many people have quit, there's lots of work to be done.
Poor leadership in the company caused a rotten atmosphere among peers. There is a huge difference between the time I joined the company and when I left. Executive leadership started focusing on stock price and dividends. They started pushing engineers towards sales, and people got fired (admittedly not so good ones; the good ones started leaving).
Think about your customers and the product you're creating. You need good and happy engineers to achieve that.
First, I got the OA, then a call with HR, then two technical interviews with the team. Overall, the technical interviews were okay. However, I didn’t expect a rejection after a good performance in the interviews.
Overall, the experience was good, and I felt quite comfortable during the process. IBM's test was actually easy compared to what I had expected, though I must admit that I was underprepared this time. I could still manage a decent number of questions
The process started with an initial assessment (OA), followed by a questionnaire. Next, there was a standard 30-minute to one-hour behavioral interview. I did not make it past that stage, so I am unsure what to expect afterward.
