Decent pay and benefits. Good remote work policy.
Lots of bureaucracy. The company is turning into EMC, with lots of hacks and disjointed groups. IBM is struggling and has been laying off employees three times a year for the past six years. Leaders are very focused on their own gain and are not focused on the customer. For some reason, they are not replacing executive leaders like Microsoft and Google have. Their products don't work well, and there are layers and layers and layers of management and policies. Morale is low, and people are fearing for their jobs. Lastly, IBM hands out jobs to relatives or friends of former executives. There are young people in management roles that have no business there. This company has not yet turned around. They consolidate divisions and say the new unit is profitable. Silly finance tricks like that.
IBM is the worst company. I completed 4 rounds of interviews, including 3 assessments, 2 phone interviews, and 1 behavioral round. I have not received any updates from the recruiters. I dropped several emails but got no response. They don't ask a can
The interview is required. It consists of one OA (which is LeetCode), followed by two technical LeetCode rounds, and then a final behavioral round. It takes a while to hear a response.
The interview process started with an email that included a coding challenge to be completed within a given timeframe. This was a LeetCode-style coding challenge and was issued before any human contact. I am not sure if this is given to every candida
