Pros

Still some good jobs and opportunities outside of the USA.

Cons

High-stress jobs and long hours.

Subject to constant layoffs in the USA.

Often drives people into early retirement.

Very few pay increases.

Keeps cutting benefits.

Poor senior management and lack of training for new managers who are often placed over departments in which they have no experience.

Best talent often leaves.

Work/life balance can be difficult.

Lack of respect for the individual employee.

Advice to Management

Stop managing strictly by the numbers and pay more attention to your employees and your customers. Hire new people for a career and not just a job. Restore traditional IBM culture and values. Develop better leadership and management skills, or the hemorrhaging will continue.
