IBM Microelectronics works on some of the most bleeding-edge technology projects in the industry. You'll be working on industry-leading projects. IBM makes the processors in all the latest video game consoles and was a leader in developing multi-core processor designs. Their foundry and manufacturing business...
In my opinion, IBM doesn't want to be in the processor business. They're just trying to milk the division until it no longer helps serve the Services and Software groups. I don't believe they compensate the microelectronics group fairly in terms of performance bonuses. The Server group almost always gets the lowest bonuses at IBM, even though the other groups' revenues are based upon the Server group's hardware.
Demonstrate that IBM has a future building processors.
Right now, it's plainly obvious that IBM is in the business of software and services. The third leg of hardware is shaky.
I was evaluated on data structures and problem-solving, like implementing an ArrayList in Java and a few other simpler problems. Overall, the interview was a good experience, and I accepted the offer at that time. Post which, there was a design roun
I went through five interviews, one of them in person. I was surprised that I was not asked to solve programming challenges throughout the interview process. For the most part, I was just asked about my experience and projects I worked on.
I did not have one, as I had previously interned and was basically offered the job given my previous experience. Usually, one manager will do all the hiring for an area and conduct the initial screening, followed by conference calls with the team th
