Pros

IBM values its employees.

Employees are compensated well, both in their salary and medical and health benefits. Employees are provided an opportunity for advancement all over the world.

If you are requested to transfer to a new location, they make the entire process as painless as possible. They help with the sale of your current residence, provide interim living expenses, help with the purchase of your new residence, and even subsidize a lower interest rate on your new mortgage.

They provide all of the resources necessary for you to complete your work.

Cons

The only difficult period was during the troubling 1990s. At that time, IBM was forced to abandon its “Full Employment Principle” and initiate the Ranking System, whereby periodically, the lower 5% of the workforce was dismissed.

Advice to Management

Keep up the good work.
