Pros
  1. Flexible.
  2. Work from home.
  3. Appropriate number of leaves.
  4. Understanding colleagues, though some of them are just dependent on you.
  5. Understanding manager, though he makes you sacrifice your work interest for product delivery.
  6. Average pay.
Cons
  1. No free lunch, tea, freebies, or snacks.

  2. No fun environment or activities; only work, unlike new-age companies.

  3. Very conservative in spending money on employees. There is a long approval process for any spending on employees.

  4. You have to work on something in which you are not interested for years. The manager will make you do that in the name of growth.

Advice to Management

Have the employee work on something in which he/she is interested, and do not force them to work on something that the employee is not interested in for years. This way, the employee thinks of leaving the organization at several points of their career and is finally not interested in investing their best in the work.
