There are some smart engineers working here.
Management is terrible and dishonest to employees.
I worked at IBM for 2 years as a Staff Software Engineer. During that time, I had an invention and applied for a patent.
The invention disclosure was approved before I left IBM. After that, IBM lawyers contacted me frequently to get my full explanation of the invention and my personal information.
The patent was granted recently. Based on IBM policy, I should be awarded for my contribution, but IBM refused to reply.
The result is that I contributed a Level 2 patent to this company without getting anything in return. When the lawyers were chasing me for my explanation, they never mentioned that there would be no award.
If IBM doesn't stop being unethical and treating its employees dishonestly, no one will be willing to work for it anymore, and it is going to sink without any doubt.
