“Once an IBMer, always an IBMer.” is so true here. You so much get adapted to its flexibility options that you tend to stick to IBM throughout your career.
Technology-wise, if you switch projects within IBM, you can learn a lot. WFH depends on projects.
Established processes. Good work culture.
If you are good at your work, it's difficult to get released from a project. That will tie you many years to the same project.
Promotions are slow. Hikes too depend on your manager.
Try to shuffle people among teams. That way a person gets more exposure to new technologies.
I interviewed at IBM for a Technical Lead position. I had a very good experience. The interview level was moderate. Total Rounds: 2 * First: Technical Interview. * Second: Managerial Round.
It took 4 hours to complete the entire interview process.
It was a good interview overall. Majority of que on the last work experience. Overall a great company to work for in this world, and it would be a good start for any fresher, especially B.Tech people.
