Pros
  • Great environment
  • Amazing and talented people
  • Cool benefits, salary, and insurance
  • You are free to learn everything you want
  • Easy to create and implement projects
  • Easy to connect and make networking
Cons
  • If you are a SW Engineer in the ISC, you have to do operations or manufacturing activities, otherwise management thinks you are doing nothing.
  • The location is far from the metropolitan zone.
  • You don’t get promoted unless you tell management you’re leaving.
  • Many people are doing “especial projects” (doing nothing) while others are getting a lot of work.
  • Sometimes the school you come from determines how fast you get hired directly (not as a contractor).
  • The saying “The shoemaker's son always goes barefoot” applies here.
Advice to Management

If you truly care about innovation, hear what your employees would like to do and let them follow their passion. Don’t give them anything to work on just because of the lack of personnel and the need to get it done. Financial problems and hiring freezes are not things employees should hold on their shoulders.
