Working with HR was a long-winded process that involved a lot of back and forth for well over a month.
Once the interview was finally scheduled, the experience was disappointing. Several of the interviewers were obviously inexperienced and could only read through the interview task, not giving much input or communication in general. It wasn't that communication was prohibited, but the interviewers behaved as if they had stage fright and could not handle a candidate asking for senior-level clarification.
Questions were typical random medium questions from LeetCode that had no relation to the actual job or its technologies. One was an algorithm question that involved a type of problem and data structure that you'd rarely use for the vast majority of positions.
It also involved a typical system design question. It was a letdown that it was just a random one that had no relevance to the actual job I was being interviewed for.
I'd recommend that others pass on this company. HR does not respect your time. If you put in the effort to study for the types of questions asked, you might as well work for FAANG-level companies. The process encapsulated many of the things that are wrong with tech interviews.
1 Leetcode medium, 1 Leetcode easy/medium (depends on your familiarity with tree manipulation).
1 System Design Question - Typical system design scenario, but once again picked at random.
