Pros: - Free lunch, snacks - Good personal time offs - Nice office location in town

Cons: - Management doesn't care about your growth; they pretend to do so when it is time for reviews. - No action, only words. Management will try to convince you they are on your side. Believe me, they are not. - Lots of feedback is collected on different levels, but there is almost no action or follow-up on it. - Engineering leadership cannot resolve conflicts between product and engineering. - Time-wasting and inefficient performance evaluation process.

Pros: Great perks and salary. Depending on the team, you get to work with smart co-workers and challenging technical work.

Cons: No more than lip service for diversity initiatives. There is no viable career path for individual contributors. Women engineers who are not in management languish in the same level for years, and their contributions are not recognized or valued. If you are a female engineer, there are much better companies out there that will value you. Projects and teams randomly move around various engineering offices because they hire too many engineers without actually having a plan for what they would work on. Some engineering managers put on an act of being humble while doing nothing to help advance the careers of those who report to them.
