Pros: Leadership is actively making changes to align with future growth. Great opportunities for everyone to do highly impactful work.

Cons: Too frequent changes have created some uncertainties, but hopefully, we will get time to settle now and align better.

Pros: Work-life balance. The company used to care a lot about employees. Pay is above average.

Cons: The company is not doing that well nowadays against the macroeconomic headwind. Yearly layoffs.

Pros: Pay, RSUs, WLB, People, Culture

Cons: I joined during a hyper-growth phase, and unfortunately, all these phases have done is water down the culture and introduce bad practices. What was once an agile, fast-moving company has turned into a behemoth without much direction. The influx of additional people during 2018 and 2021 brought their bad practices from other organizations. Without strong leadership at Indeed, this has given these people free rein to run amok inside of Indeed, inflating their own titles and performing kingdom building. Indeed's culture was too nice, and SLT wouldn't put their foot down and address the problem. Instead, they gave toxic people blank checks to go on hiring sprees, duplicating efforts and teams in the process. Some parts of the company are extremely slow-moving. I'm talking 1+ month to add a button to a UI. It's laughable it takes that long, but I'm not joking. Indeed had a competitive edge at one point; they squandered that lead, and now other startups are coming to eat their lunch. I give Indeed 5-10 years before they go the way of Monster.com.
