I had applied for the Applications Engineer role through a referral. The HR forgot to inform me about the scheduled interview. When I called to follow up on the application, she told me the interview was already scheduled for the next day. When I asked for time to prepare and to reschedule my current work commitments, she said it was a drive and could not be rescheduled.
I found this behavior of the HR very unprofessional. If it was a drive, it would have been planned earlier and therefore should have been communicated on time (at least two days prior).
In the first round of technical interview, they explained the job description thoroughly and asked questions based on the resume, MCUs, and C.
They asked me two coding questions.
First was on bit manipulation (Set/Clear a bit on the kth position). Second was to reverse a string using pointers.
They will ask questions on each step of the code you have written, so first think about the logic properly, and then you can start to code.
