I got a call from HR to arrange the first telephonic round. I told her my suitable timing, so she confirmed the round and sent an email with the Job Description (JD).
In the first telephonic round, the interviewer started with my education background and previous employers, asking for the reason for leaving. I told him all the details.
After that, he asked me to describe what I understood from the job description and why I was interested in this profile. Since the profile was new to me, I explained whatever I understood from it.
Then, the interviewer told me that without understanding the job profile, how could I agree to an interview? I asked him to explain it. But he denied, rejected me without asking a single technical question, and said that I should first research the job details and call HR to schedule again if I found it interesting.
I don't know what kind of attitude this is. Sir, it's your responsibility to explain your job profile and work. The only person who can explain the job and work in detail is you and your team. How would any outsider know the exact details?
Very unprofessional behavior. I have wasted my time.
Describe what you understood from the job description and why you are interested in this profile.
