Pros: 3 off, 4 on. 4 on, 3 off. Always looking to award employees. A lot of free time off, 2-month sabbaticals.
Cons: Backstabbing screwballs everywhere, managers who play the good ol' boy game way too much, and poor advancement.

Pros: Great coworkers, very supportive.
Cons: Intel sucks. The company doesn't take care of its own employees.
No matter how hard I worked, Intel didn't care. I got laid off in June 2017. I always received excellent reviews for six years, and I never got a decent raise.

Pros: Very stable employment with a few exceptions over the years. Nice facility (Ronler Acres).
Leading-edge technology.
Cons: Unless you are highly educated (PHD), it is very hard to earn a six-figure income. While that may seem like a lot to ask for, living in the area has gotten very expensive over the years. "Good" raises are 4%, and average raises are 1-2%. They don't seem to be keeping up with inflation. Depending on your functional area, stress can be very high. Having the ability to deal with that stress is a must.
