Process

I was called up by the Team's manager, who was scheduling all the interview rounds himself. No HR was involved. These rounds took place over two weeks. I had a total of three hours of interviews, with each session lasting 1 to 1.5 hours.

  • Technical round covering different topics in the DevOps area. (Virtual on Teams). Three panel members conducted this round.
  • Technical round focusing on specific DevOps topics—Docker, Jenkins, Kubernetes, Ansible, Python, etc.—in depth. (Virtual on Teams). Two panel members conducted this round.
  • Technical + Managerial round. This round was slightly technical but primarily behavioral/situational, including questions about conflict, pressure, strengths, teamwork, and risk-taking. This round was conducted at the Intel office in Bangalore. The panel consisted of the Team's manager and the Scrum Master. At times, I felt the manager was rude in his responses during the round.

After all this, I was told I would hear back in about a week. On my first follow-up, they informed me they would get back the following week, but they never replied to my email after my second follow-up.

It would be great if you could implement a policy to provide timely feedback to interviewed candidates, as we invest our time in attending interview rounds and put in much more effort in preparing for them. Please value interviewed candidates' time and efforts by providing timely feedback.
