The interview process consisted of a single session that included both a technical and a personal interview.
The personal interview was conducted by a hiring manager and an engineering manager. Standard questions were asked, such as "Tell me about a time where you needed to work to strict deadlines, showed flexibility, leadership, or where you were successful."
In the technical interview, I was asked to explain the operation of a household device, specifically a kettle, and to explain its different safety features. These included a heat-resistant handle, a temperature sensor/switch, and a fuse in the plug.
There was also a practical exam. This involved demonstrating hand-eye coordination by taking apart a plug and connecting a wire into a relay switch.
Draw an electrical appliance used in the home and explain how it works.
