I applied in August of 2017 through the company's website.
I had a phone screen during the first week of September and flew over for interviews during the second week of October.
I had 11 interviews, which were one-on-one and about 30 minutes each. The interviews consisted mostly of repetitive questions based on situational scenarios and ownership of equipment, with very few technical questions. I learned a lot during these one-on-one interviews, and printing out my PhD presentation slides helped considerably (thanks to Glassdoor).
I also had a 45-minute PhD thesis presentation to five engineers, and the questions were really basic.
Overall, most of the interviewers were friendly.
Almost a week later, I received an automated email stating that the position I interviewed for had been canceled.
I felt it was unfortunate not to receive official communication from either HR or the PTD group regarding the cancellation, rather than an automated email.
Overall, it was a great experience.
