Pros: Managers and senior workers are very friendly. It is a great workplace where you can learn a lot and gain valuable industry experience.
Cons: None as the time I worked there.

Big company trying to become more agile

Pros: Opportunities to work with some of the most brilliant people in the chip design industry (who also often happen to be some of the nicest).
Flexible work schedules for non-fab employees.
Paid 8-week sabbatical every 7 years.
Good benefits and pay -- automatic retirement contribution from the company (not a match like most).
Work/life balance is reasonable in most positions -- the company seems committed to improving this even more.
Cons: Slow, cumbersome bureaucratic decision-making processes at all levels. The company has tried to fix this at the corporate level, but the results have been mixed at best and have not really made it down to rank-and-file employees.
Poor project planning and project resourcing. Constant crisis-mode operation is the result.
Review process based on a bell curve and arbitrary HR quotas.
