This isn't your father's Intel
Intel is a company that has many disciplines. You can find one that suits you. You are responsible for your career path. Being able to influence others is a skill that Intel highly values.
Intel feels like too large of a company. Intel is changing its design process methodologies to become more efficient, and it's like having a giant aircraft carrier making a turn in the open ocean. Working at Intel can be like working in isolation from the rest of the industry because Intel uses its own design tools and methodologies that aren't compatible with the rest of the industry.
Having too much change too fast may not be a good thing.
