Pros

There are so many opportunities if you are interested in career growth, especially with the company being worldwide and having many divisions. Intel is in every industry, it seems. There is so much potential for innovation.

Cons

A lot of bureaucracy. If you want to get anything done, you need to know the right people who aren't afraid to make a decision. Too much CYA internally, rather than all standing together for the same cause and moving forward. Because there have been layoffs in the news, it's created more fear in the system, causing people to be more defensive of what they are doing. This causes overlap and unnecessary tension between organizations.

Advice to Management

Focus on the ethics within the company and how management has a very strong effect on employee behavior and work ethic. Hold people accountable for their actions (or lack thereof) and reward people for their accomplishments (not tell them they were supposed to do that because it's part of their job). Motivation is achieved when people are inspired, not fearful of keeping their jobs.
