Pros
  • Lots of learning platforms and resources to study.
  • Lots of fun activities and seminars.
Cons

Workload is heavy and there is no time to utilize the self-learning platform.

Work from home leads to a lack of communication and chances to recognize others.

Advice to Management

Can increase interaction among different teams and organize gatherings in the real world, other than remote. Remote working is not ideal for new hires who have no family and do not recognize others in the office.

The purpose of a buddy program is to help new hires avoid feeling isolated. However, buddies may not really interact with new hires as per the program booklet, due to forgetting the buddy meeting. It is hard to recognize the real reason if forgetting many times and without seeing their face on-site. If working in the office, the buddy and new hire can go out for lunch together. But when working remotely, it's just like a tool to claim food & beverage allowance.
