Pros

You get to do silicon design and know the most inner details of processors, architecture, and registers. The Health Insurance benefits are pretty good.

Cons

Low salary. The managers are destroying this company, and they are neither technical nor hard-working. Too many H1 employees. The latest trend is to hire H1s or younger folks, get them trained, and then lay off thousands of experienced people. Because you are working on the most inner silicon details, getting a job outside is tough, as other companies require high-level skills, not lower-level skills. Also, because experienced folks are being let go, project completion cycles do take longer, but upper management doesn't seem to care.

Advice to Management

No use. They just laugh at it.
