Pros

Great benefits, work-life balance (depending on the group you work in), free fruit and beverages.

Cons

Intel is a place with diverse experience groups. I've been in 7 different groups during my 10+ years at Intel. There are (were) groups with experienced people who knew what to do. Some groups are meticulous to the T on business process development, where much time and energy is spent on creating a business process just to see that the business priority changes as soon as the business process is developed. Some groups give you a wild, wild west experience. The company is middle management heavy; it seems as if nothing was learned after the not-so-recent past SET changes. Keeping a flat management structure with a better employee rating process would really help in improving the conditions for the company.

Advice to Management

More of a question to the leadership: What is your vision for Intel? Intel Itanium, McAfee, Visual Computing Group, Digital Health Group, Basis Peak Watches, Intel Mobile, and Car Computing Platform are just some of the endeavors, to quote for the lack of them.
