Learn new technologies. Work with many good people. Open and direct communication.
If you are a woman, keep in mind that there are almost no women in senior roles. A significant number of women engineers are leaving because of bias and a "boys club" mentality.
Over the years, I developed solutions that saved millions for the company and got nothing out of it. I have not been promoted in 10 years.
Develop respect for hard work!
