Pros

Challenging environment.

State-of-the-art technology to work on. The best hardware and software tools in the industry.

Great online and classroom education available. There is always an expert available to help with any technology.

Cons

The twice-a-year performance review is set up to rate one's performance based on input from peers and results in pay based on ranking amongst fellow employees. At first glance, this may seem like a good plan, but it results in people giving poor reviews of some of their peers so they will end up ranking higher themselves.

Management is always pushing for more output from employees.

Advice to Management

Always show respect for the engineers' ability and competence as engineers, even while challenging them to greater output.
