Senior Software Engineer Interview Experience

Process

Basically, I was ghosted.

I had an initial phone interview with the recruiter, which went well. The recruiter mentioned that the coordinator would reach out to schedule an interview with the hiring manager. I didn't hear back after a week, so I followed up.

The recruiter never responded to my follow-up email. However, on the same day, the coordinator reached out to schedule an interview (two different people contacted me for the same reason). I provided my availability and didn't hear back from either.

I followed up again about a week later, and the coordinator replied, stating they were waiting to hear from the hiring manager. They asked for additional times for the following week, which I provided. I never heard back after that.

I understand that other candidates might have been a better fit, even though there were multiple positions open in my area. I also acknowledge busy schedules. Regardless, transparent communication would have been much appreciated.
