Process
The interview process included:
- An initial 30-minute meeting with HR.
- A 45-minute session with the hiring manager.
- A 3-hour-and-45-minute evening interview with other architects and senior engineers.
Candidates were asked to prepare a presentation and complete a coding challenge.
Feedback arrived a couple of days later, which was faster than expected. The people were very nice, and the overall process was great.

Pros: Great set of people (smart, funny, caring), a solid business and millions of customers (which means bonuses and profit sharing every year), great culture (non-political, nurturing, integrity values), a fantastic CEO, perks and benefits (gym, conference, reimbursement for classes, etc.).
Cons: Intense workload during business season. Most work is to enhance the legacy applications, so it takes a while to learn the existing code and make sure you don't break anything.

Pros: Provides a lot of opportunities and freedom to experiment, learn, and get better at what you do. Management is very supportive.
Cons: We need to staff more within teams. Currently, some people end up doing a considerable amount of work, which could be distributed with larger teams.
