Software Engineer New Grad Interview Experience

Process

I was contacted by a recruiter whom I met at the Lesbian Who Tech career fair in SF. The process started with a coding challenge. This was followed by a video interview via Karat, where I was asked to solve two more coding problems. Then, a 90-minute video interview with two engineers, where I was asked questions related to past projects, internships, general CS questions, and another coding problem to solve. Finally, there was a culture fit interview with a team manager.

All in all, the process was pretty smooth. The coding questions ranged from medium to hard difficulty levels, but if you've done enough LeetCode, this is one of the easier interview processes to crack. One great thing was that, unlike other companies, they don't seem to care if you get the perfect solution or not. I wasn't able to solve one problem entirely but still got an offer, maybe because I explained my approach and thought process nicely.
