Process

I met an Intuit recruiter at a hiring event on campus and was later contacted by a different Intuit recruiter via email. They outsourced most of their interviewing process.

The first company I interviewed with was very professional. They conducted one interview with no interviewer present, only two tech questions. My time and likely other aspects were recorded.

Next was another interview with the same recruiting company, but this time two engineers were present. We briefly reviewed the previous interview, asking questions like "what was your thought process on this aspect" and "did you consider this." We then discussed my work history, projects I was proud of, and so on. Following that was another tech question, slightly more challenging than the last but still manageable. Unfortunately, I floundered quite a bit and got locked up. I thought they were asking a slightly different and trivial question, which led to me wasting a lot of time just figuring that out. Afterward, I was so frazzled that I had trouble answering the actual question. However, the engineers were quite supportive and understanding of what was happening. I ended up getting the job, so I suppose it wasn't too bad.

About two weeks later, I received a call with the offer, which I accepted a week after that.

I then had a meeting with one engineer (a former intern) who answered general questions I had. A bit later, I had a meeting with my manager.

Every step of this process was conducted over video chat or phone call. I did not set foot on campus until my first day of work.
