Pros

Excellent benefits and getting to work with new technologies. Middle management is very flexible when it comes to time off or needing to leave work early to attend to family affairs.

Cons

Typically a software sweatshop. Pushing out new products on a tight deadline means long hours for software developers and quality assurance. That has had an effect on morale. When I started with the company, it was a fun place to work. People were excited and had energy. Now, when I walk the cube farm, I see tired faces. It seems they are focusing more on shareholders and clients than employees.

Advice to Management

Don't forget about us (employees)! Money matters, but that raise only comes once a year.

If you're not having fun at your job, you quickly forget about that raise in a few months or start to look elsewhere.
