The leadership in the data org are old-timers who got promoted due to politics rather than being competent at their current job.

I left the org to move into a different part of Intuit since the leadership are not able to appreciate innovation and engage in cronyism.

Having worked in better engineering companies, if you want to create a builder culture and re-haul the organization, please start with the leadership, some of whom might not be well-equipped to handle this transition.
