Process

Pathetic experience, I had the worst interview of my life.

The first round was really good, all about problem-solving. The joke started after the second round. He asked me to write an immutable class. While writing, he asked whether I would have to create a setter method or not. I said, as the member variables are final, it will be a compilation error if you even try to create one (a setter method for those).

He then started arguing and even said, "Because I am saying it, it will not give compilation error, now tell me the answer." He could have politely said, "We will check," or something else.

Then, in further rounds, other people came, and they were asking syntactical questions.

After clearing all rounds, I told my expectation to the manager and HR. They did try to negotiate.

Then HR said, "I will let you know in a couple of days." When I called after a week, they said the manager went on vacation. Then I called HR again, and he said, "I went on vacation, and will let you know in a couple of days." That couple of days never came. I stopped following up with them.

This was very unprofessional behavior on their part.
