SRE/DevOps Engineer Interview Experience - Hyderābād, Telangana

Process

Process started with C.V. being shortlisted by a recruiter, followed by a brief 10-minute call to give an overview of the role and expectations. A total of three rounds of interviews were conducted. The first two were purely technical, and the last round was a techno-managerial round.

To be frank, I didn't like the way the interview happened. In spite of answering all the questions correctly, they wouldn't respond back. It felt like they were just scheduling interviews to understand how processes happen in other industries so that they could bring similar experience to their team. At least they should convey or give some feedback to the candidates about what we are missing.

I interviewed three times with different teams within JPMorgan, but each time they disappointed me. I can only say that it's just a big brand in the banking sector. In the DevOps area, I believe they are still using legacy tools/technologies and haven't yet migrated to the cloud, though they ask questions from the cloud side.
