• Safe job: even in re-orgs or when your team gets removed, there are plenty of opportunities to move around within the company.
• The cafeteria at the Dallas location was great.

Not an ideal environment for the software engineering career...

• Very difficult to do your job due to no admin access on computer, limited access to technologies and internet.
• Developers are generally not passionate; the firm does not generally encourage using new technologies and tools or "hacking" new ideas.
• Continuous learning was limited to very basic (and poor) internal training videos. Very few teams had funds to send developers to conferences, etc.
• Many employees (especially on prod support) had to work long hours; my team's work-life balance was fine. Normal hours.

Put a greater focus on technology and work cooperatively instead of against each other.
