High pay for internship role, but low pay for starting salary. I won't be taking the offer with them as it is 10-15k less than the market for my major. They use old and outdated technologies.
The internship is structured so that an offer is extended and must be accepted or declined before you begin your final year of college. In essence, if you accept it, you are being recruited before other companies can give you offers.
That, combined with the less-than-average salary, makes it seem like a scam to me. They are looking to hire bright, intelligent employees at an underpaid starting salary before other companies can give them offers.
Management was very friendly and easy to get along with. The biggest complaints were with the overarching structure of the internship, not with the individual managers I worked with. They were all nice and helpful people.
Got an on-campus interview. Interviewed by two people back-to-back. Asked basic computer science questions.
Contacted by a recruiter and then sent a coding screen with 1 medium/1 easy question. One week after this was cleared, an online interview Superday happened (3 interviews, 45 minutes each with a different VP each time). Generally standard questions:
You may not be able to stand out if you are a minority. Having a top-secret security clearance is always a big help when applying for any tech jobs these days.
