The Glasgow office is not like a stuffy bank, and the people there are generally very nice to work with.
It's dress-down, and there are various cool things that go on throughout the year.
It's a nice place to work.
To the prospective employee, it is a very "look at me, look at me" culture. If you're not like that as a person, then you will not get anywhere in terms of promotion, especially if the team is run out of London or New York.
Getting your head down and doing your work to a high standard is NOT enough for teams managed out of those cities; you've got to shout about how great you are and sometimes step on other people. It's really not a nice feeling.
