Convenient Commute, Abrupt Layoff
The salary, work environment, and commute were convenient for me, as the office was 10 minutes from my home.
I got hired for a contract after clearing 3 rounds of interviews. After working for 1 week, the management decided the project I was hired for was no longer required, and I was laid off. I had another job offer at the time, but I chose Chase because it was located in my city. The thing I hated was that I received a call from the manager on Friday evening stating I was no longer required. Have some decency; at least let me know in person.
