Incredibly nice people. I have yet to encounter someone that was not genuinely kind and helpful.
Decent starting compensation (over market, but nowhere near FAANG).
Established company creates a pretty soft landing for a first dev role.
Access to a truly absurd number of trainings, and the education benefit is above par.
Legacy code and tech is not cutting-edge.
In-office requirements, despite there being absolutely no reason to be in the office (the office is nice, though; there's just no reason to be there).
The normal bureaucracy that comes with such a large company.
While I realize that it is not up to individual managers, there needs to be additional flexibility for remote work. The policy as it stands comes across as a little insulting and distrustful. It's pretty established at this point that employees are more effective while working from home, so I find the policy to be detrimental and confusing.
I am applying for the C++ developer position. There was only one interviewer, and he asked technical C++ questions. It requires in-depth coding knowledge and clear data structure concepts to answer the questions.
Applied to the recent graduate program. The process moved quickly. First step was playing a few brain games, which were easy and provided good feedback. Second was a HireVue interview. This was all pre-recorded, so a little less nervous than norma
Two interviews. One is technical, consisting of data structures questions. The other is with the manager to see which team is best suitable and includes questions about technical interests and hobbies.
