Pros

Lots of mobility with different tools, tech, and locations.

Level of skill required before working here is not too high. They are willing to train on the job.

Full benefits.

Cons

High demand on time, depending on the team.

Hard to get a team using cutting-edge tech. Lots of old tech.

Lots of maintaining systems jobs, fewer creating new things jobs.

High level of bureaucracy.

Advice to Management

Management needs to focus on giving more time to learn new skills and improve existing systems, instead of continuing to add more and more work when they know the teams are already overworked.

They need to stop committing to work, hoping they can hire the people to do it, since they have had a hard time finding the right people.
